Since there is only a select few stores here and we have no car to get around, we have to make the best of what we have so, most everything must be shipped in! We decided we would like to get Sirius Weather on the boat, we have a Furuno Chart-plotter that we can interface it to and get the weather on it 24-7-365.
The small Mom and Pop technology store here quoted us $900.00 :( whew! For weather? I thought of all the WiFi I could have for that amount! ;) We went on E-bay and got the unit ALOT cheaper, but as with everything..Ship it in! Now, I am a "want it now" kinda girl, I do not like waiting on something I want! This cruising is teaching me lots! Ha.
We are going to go to the movies this afternoon with some friends to see the new Hunger Games movie, yes...they have a small movie house here, it is not a theater, it is a movie house, so I will let you know how that is, they have plays there too..
They do have a boat parade of lights here, and some boats are getting lights up, I love watching them in the evenings! The electric company here has a lovely Christmas light show! It is kinda funny watching all the Christmas goings on in this heat! The weather here is so wonderful, cool in the night and warm in day! Love it!
We are going to go the Andros when we leave here and check in at Morgans Bluff, from there head down deeper into the Islands..well that is the plan, but as with all plans on a boat...it is subject to change! Just getting some of the last minute things we are going to need and can not get in the Islands. Shipped in!! Hahaha
The marine patrol is back again, harassing the boat people in Boot Key, they boarded a boat next to us last night and gave them a handful of tickets. We are listening to the morning radio...The Net on channel 68, they have it every morning here and they discuss all sort of things, announcements, what is happening in Marathon, new boats, leaving boats, and the sort! With no T.V. here, it is a least some fun!! Anyway, I am sure the people that got the tickets will be on the net to tell everyone in Boot Key the whole story!

We had lunch at this place (I can not remember the name of it!) but it right on the water and this guy sat right next to me!
