Shrimp boat came in this morning and I bought some fresh shrimp for dinner, shrimp in white sauce, can't wait. We are almost ready to take off, working on the arch, today! Sister coming in from Tampa on Friday, I will be so glad to see her. Next weekend is the going away party and I want to leave the following week, fingers crossed (sigh).

So...

The man down the dock from us has cat named Sipeo, he loves to check out our boat and will stick his head down the hatches, While I was cooking dinner this evening he showed up and stuck his head  in the galley hatch, Envie saw him and leaped up from the floor and slapped him down, she was puffed up like a frog...we laughed....she is the protector of the boat....!

April 22

Our cat Envie Rose is a very vocal cat and when she is up in the morning YOU are up in the morning no matter what time it is and we also have 4 geese that come to the boat every morning at the crack of dawn and today was no different, the cat starts meowing, they start squawking, the boatyard starts going, the paper mill blows the whistle and the train sounds the horn....who can sleep? I had to smile this morning as I got my cup of coffee, at the crack of dawn...love the day! We have finished the back deck and the feet of the arch, they had rusted thru the hull and had to be cut out and new metal made and re welded. I am going to prime and paint tomorrow.. That is it for the most important stuff to do before we leave. The rest of the stuff we can do in the islands..yea!

aboard

Here we are..., after 13+ yrs of planning, trying, crying and hoping, on board of our 50ft Kanter Yacht "Adagio". We have enjoyed and suffered alot to get here. We have spent untold hours in the boatyard, on deck and in the engine room! I hope you enjoy my blog, because I am going to write this for me, so I can look back and see where I have gone!!
